Sanawad: Chaos prevailed at a vaccination centre in Sanawad on Thursday. The beneficiaries started to gather at 6 am in the morning by till 9:45 there were no responsible officials of police or municipal department present at the vaccination centre.
The administration failed to inform the beneficiaries that only 210 vaccines have to be administered to the people at the centre. Out of which 150 vaccines are for people above 45 and rest are for the ones who are availing of second dose.
The public address system at the centre was also not utilized leading to the flocking of the centre.
Adults, elderly and physically weak people, who reached the centre to get a second dose of vaccine were troubled by inadequate seating arrangement and the disorder.
Vaccination was being done by giving this information and token number only on reaching the only entrance of the centre.
Many who had received mobile messages to get their dose on July 29 and were left high and dry. There was no one on the centre premises to listen to them or assist them.
