A technician working at the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Sector 32, has been booked for allegedly molesting a college student.

The complainant, a third-year student, was on duty on June 27 when she went to get some medicines from the store where an OT technician, identified as Kamleshwar, allegedly molested her.

A case under Sections 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the IPC has been registered against the suspect at the Sector 34 police station.

The suspect is yet to be arrested. A few students today went to the Sector 34 police station demanding his arrest.
