LUCKNOW: Black fungus infection claimed one more life on Wednesday. The patient, a 50-year-old woman from Malihabad, was under treatment at KGMU and had survived Covid-19, but died due to septicemia caused by mucormycosis. Five more patients were admitted to KGMU, while 13 were discharged after recovery. Meanwhile, the state Covid bulletin did not mention any casualty due to Covid in the city on Wednesday but the column for total number of fatalities in Lucknow said 2,647 deaths, three more than Tuesday’s 2,644. CMO Dr Sanjay Bhatnagar said that no death was reported. At least 13 more Covid cases were recorded in the past 24 hours, while 22 patients recovered. The number of active cases is 251 now.
