Leah McSweeney admits she was ‘hard’ on Heather Thomson on ‘RHONY’

Leah McSweeney is so “BS negative” that she feels badly about the way she treated Heather Thomson on “The Real Housewives of New York” this season.

McSweeney, 38, confessed that she was tough on Thomson, 51, during the cast trip to the Hamptons, which Thomson joined despite not being a full-time star.

“I think I was definitely hard on her,” McSweeney said on Tuesday night’s episode of “Watch What Happens Live.”

McSweeney admitted that she exploded after she thought Thomson called her a “dumb bitch,” and joked that when she watched the show back she didn’t actually hear the word “dumb.”

“I was like, ‘Oh, whoops!'” the Married to the Mob founder laughed.

But she added, “Look, I don’t think we were ever gonna be besties.”

“I think that I was watching [the show] — I was like, ‘Wow. I’m really not being myself,'” said McSweeney, who was dealing with her grandmother’s illness during the trip. “I obviously was like, kind of taking things out on her.

“But at the same time, what she did afterwards and saying that, like, I should have left to see my grandmother when she knows damn well I didn’t get to say bye to my grandmother was just a low that I would never go to.

“And also, I apologized to her! I did feel bad! I did DM her to also talk about it because then I found out she wasn’t going to be joining us for the election night party.”

She hinted that Thomson never responded to her DM and, as “RHONY” fans know, Thomson left the show upon her return to the Big Apple from the Hamptons. She also claimed she was “assaulted” during filming.

An insider told Page Six in March that Thomson — who was a cast member from Seasons 5 in 2012 to Season 7 in 2015 — “was kind of like a Debbie Downer. And plus, no one trusted her because of everything she talked about in the press after she left the show.”

Their feud began when McSweeney brought up that Thomson had made damning allegations against the “RHONY” women on her podcast and in other interviews.

The fighting escalated when cast newbie Eboni K. Williams told McSweeney that Thomson had been badmouthing her because McSweeney was undecided about whether she’d vote in the 2020 election.

Thomson has not responded to McSweeney’s latest “WWHL” comments.

“The Real Housewives of New York” airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo.
