Corona Vaccination : More than the population of Finland, India got the vaccine in one day

The Union Health Ministry says that lakhs of vaccinations are being done daily in the country. There are many countries of the world whose vaccine is being given in a day in India equal to the total population.


Talking about Finland, there is a population of 55.41 lakh and even more, people are being given the vaccine in a day. Similarly, the total population of Norway (54.21 lakh) and New Zealand are giving more than 48.22 lakh vaccines.

If we talk about the last eight days, then the total population of Iraq is 4.02 million, Canada 37.77 million, Saudi Arabia 34.80 million and Malaysia has a total population of 32.30 million, while in India, 461 million people were given the vaccine during eight days.

Vaccination crossed 33 crores

The ministry said that information has been received from Kovin at 3 pm on Tuesday that the total vaccination in the country has crossed 33 crores. Till 3 pm, more than 30 lakh people have taken the vaccine. The Joint Secretary of the Ministry, Luv Kumar Agarwal said that 40.35 lakh doses have been administered every day in the month of June. Whereas in January this figure was around 2.35 lakh.

Now corona infection is more in 111 districts of the country

The Health Ministry has informed that the cases of corona have decreased in the country but there are still more cases of infection in 111 districts. More than 100 cases are being seen daily in these districts. Till May 4, the number of such districts was 531 but now it has come down to 111. Therefore the end of the second wave cannot be announced yet. It is very important for people to be careful.

The Health Ministry has also told that in the last one week there has been a decrease in 17 percent of new cases. A 91 percent decrease has been registered so far after the second wave peak passed on May 10.

There were more than 31 lakh active cases in the country during the peak but now these have come down by 85 percent and 5.52 lakh patients are under treatment. Similarly, there is a reduction of 85 percent in the weekly infection rate. Earlier this rate was up to 21.3 percent but now it is less than three percent.
