Range Rover Sport SVR: All You Need To Know

Land Rover has launched the updated Range Rover Sport SVR in India over a couple of years after its global debut. The performance SUV brings the luxury of the RR Sport with that massive supercharged engine built by the automaker's Special Vehicle Operations division. It is the most powerful Land Rover ever produced and comes to India as a CBU from Coventry, UK. This is also the flagship model in Jaguar Land Rover's India line-up at present. Here's everything you need to know about it.

1. The 2021 Range Rover Sport SVR is powered by the 5.0-litre supercharged V8 petrol engine that belts out 567 bhp and a whopping 700 Nm of peak torque. The motor is mated to an eight-speed torque convertor transmission.
2. Thanks to the Range Rover Sport's lightweight aluminium architecture, the performance SUV clocks triple-digit speeds in just 4.5 seconds.

3. The top speed stands at 280 kmph. Land Rover says the RR Sport SVR get bespoke enhancements to the chassis for more dynamic handling without compromising on the all-terrain capability of the SUV.
4. Visually, the Range Rover Sport SVR gets upgrades to better differentiate the model over the standard version. This includes new and larger air intakes in the bumper for improved brake cooling.
5. The brake pads and discs have been upgraded as well for better performance at higher temperatures.

6. The SUV also gets body-coloured detailing at the rear and the SVR badge to further distinguish the performance offering.
7. On the inside, the Range Rover Sport SVR gets the lightweight SVR Performance seats finished in high-quality perforated Windsor leather.
8. The feature list is impressive and includes an 825 Watt 19-speaker Meridian surround sound system.
9. Other features include a panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, four-zone climate control, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto among others.
10. The new Range Rover Sport SVR takes on the likes of the Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 Coupe, BMW X5 M and Audi RS Q8.
