Andy Murray vs Oscar Otte- 9.15 PM
Andy Murray will take on Germany’s Oscar Otte in the second round of Wimbledon 2021. The latter progressed to round 2 after a magnificent win over A Rinderknech in a marathon five-set battle. On the other hand, Murray had a wobbly start in the opening contest but managed to win the 4-set battle after a scare by Basilashvili in the 1st round contest. Murray will be aiming to win his third title at Wimbledon in 2021. On the other hand, history is not in favor of Otte who has failed to make it past round 2 in the London showpiece event.
In his on-court interview on Monday, Murray said, “I keep getting asked ‘is this my last Wimbledon? is this my last match?’ No, I’m going to keep playing I want to play. I’m enjoying it. I can still play at the highest level. he (Basilashvili) is ranked 28 in the world, I’ve hardly played any matches and I beat him. so I’ll keep going.”

Novak Djokovic, who is chasing his sixth Wimbledon title, will face off Kevin Anderson of South Africa in round 2 of the Wimbledon 2021. He had defeated M Barrios Vera in four sets to set his match against Djokovic. The latter has made it to round 4 for four times in a row between 2013 to 2017. Can he do it again and stun Djokovic? Venus Williams who registered her 90th victory on Tuesday will be up against 21st seed Ons Jabeur in the second round of the Wimbledon 2021. While Williams defeated M Buzarenescu in 3 sets battle, Jabeur defeated R Peterson in straight sets. The latter has a good opportunity to prove herself as she has never progressed past round 2 at Wimbledon. Venus Williams will be looking to put an end to her Grand Slam drought as she had last won a major in the 2017 Australian Open.
