Indian tipster Yogesh in association with 91Mobiles has shared the Galaxy Buds 2 will be priced between $149 and $169.
Update: June 28, 2021
A month after their visit at the FCC, the alleged Galaxy Buds 2 have come out in official-looking renders. The tech blog 91Mobiles has managed to obtain these renders through industry sources.
These leaked renders show off the complete design and colors of the earbuds. As evident from the images, the Buds 2 appear to be shedding away the design language of its predecessor and adorning a new one. It now has a single-hued design instead of glossy and matte dual-tone. It appears to have draped a uniform texture, which looks mostly glossy in nature. According to the tech blog, these images also confirm the Galaxy Buds 2 will feature ANC, contrary to what previous rumors have said.
The report also states the Galaxy Buds2 will feature rubber tips to offer passive noise cancellation. The charging case is now square-shaped and looks similar to the Galaxy Buds Live and Buds Pro cases. However, from the inside, it looks a lot similar to Pixel Buds A case, white from outside and black encasing on the inside, when you open the case.
These renders also show the Galaxy Buds 2 will be available in White, Black, Purple, and Green color options.
We first heard about the development of the alleged Galaxy Buds 2 in March this year when an APK teardown was done on the latest build of the Galaxy Live app revealed its name.
Samsung has been ramping production of parts for the new SM-R177 next gen Galaxy Buds for the last few days. Yields are stabilizing but aren't 100% yet. Still, new Buds incoming sooner rather than later (TM).

Now, around two weeks back, one of the top tipsters in the tech world claimed that Samsung was ramping up the production of the Galaxy Buds 2. He even tipped the model number to be SM-R177.
Today, the device can be seen on the FCC listing. And, while you think it would be a mere device’s entry in the certification, the listing reveals a lot more.
The FCC certification listing has actually revealed the first look of the device. A tipster with Twitter username @FrontTron spotted this entry first and shared what else the FCC listing brings.
The images of the alleged Galaxy Buds 2 show Samsung didn’t touch the design part much. It rather chose to go again with the design language of its existing Buds Live and the Buds Pro earbuds.
Furthermore, the images showcase the Galaxy Buds 2 has infrared sensors for automatic wear detection and metal connectors for charging.

Let’s see when Samsung plans to launch these new earbuds.
