Circles.Life head of Australia Maik Retzlaff

MVNO Circles.Life has appointed Maik Retzlaff to the role of head of Australia, and Emilie Chell as head of marketing.

Maik Retzlaff joins Circles.Life after founding ecommerce operator Tailored Wines and business management software vendor Twinn Technologies.

He previously spent spent six years at amaysim, most recently as commercial director for mobile.

Earlier in his career, Retzlaff served as COO at meetOne, senior consultant at Skillnet, and head of business development at Bauer Media in Germany.

"I'm incredibly excited to join Circles.Life at this point in the business' journey, building on the success to date, and putting the customer front and centre. Circles.Life does for telecommunications what neo-banks did for banking by using technology and agility to deliver a customer-centred, frictionless experience," said Retzlaff.

"This is especially appealing to young Australians, the digital natives, who expect flexibility, such as no lock-in contracts, and transparency, such as real-time, in-app visibility of their data usage. We've seen the rise of the neo bank, now it's telco's turn. Circles.Life is here to change the game and our current offering is just the beginning."

Emilie Chell is Circles.Life's new head of marketing.

ITWIRE CIRCLES.LIFE HEAD OF MARKETING EMILIE CHELL

She joins the company from Integrity Life, where she worked as general manager of marketing and customer experience for three years.

Chell previously served as head of marketing and communications at property developer Crown, director of luxury and upscale brands at AccorHotels, marketing manager at UBank, head of marketing at RaboDirect, and direct marketing manager at AAPT.

She holds a BA in German and European business and politics from the University of London, and a Google Analytics certification.

"Circles.Life goes above and beyond to make sure their customers are heard, catering to digital natives who expect flexible options that match their ever-changing needs," said Chell.

"Circles.Life is playing a pivotal role in the disruption of Australia's telco market and I'm thrilled to have a hand in that journey."
