Apple has been bringing iPhones with ultrawide-angle cameras since 2019, and all of them had fixed focus. This will finally change with the iPhone 13 Pro series, which will have an improved ultrawide shooter with autofocus, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo claims.

Kuo: iPhone 13 Pro series to have improved ultra-wide camera with AF

In his investor memo, Kuo revealed only the mightier iPhones will have the new camera in 2021, while the non-Pro models will need to wait until 2022 when all four models will get the updated ultrawide camera.

Autofocus is better because the lens can be adjusted, resulting in crisper images in all scenarios. In fixed focus, the object needs to be at the perfect distance, otherwise, the phone often fails to produce a desirable photo.

Literally, this Kuo guy is wrong in 50% of affirmations. The other half, he simply says obvious things that anybody could predict.
