Hi All, I wanted to get some advice please. I have been taking Gold Standard Pre Advanced by ON, love the product! However, it has too much caffeine for me so I was taking 60-70% of the doze. I appreciate that the product is properly clinically dozed at full doze only, I was still getting great outcomes on a reduced doze. However, I started getting major migraines every time I would lift only! This full happened immediately after the first set. I would have to walk out of the gym. This continued for over a month at every training session, doesn't matter how intense the first set was. As soon as there was a bit of blood rushing to my head, I was in agony. It stared at the back at the bottom on my scull where it meets the neck and carry through to the forehead. It would last for a few hours. I did a bit of research around tension headaches etc. I even rested for a week or so but it returned on first training day back. I attended chiros, physios and there was no relief. I then dropped the doze to half and stacked it with Grind non stim by primabolics which I think is also an outstanding clinically dozed product. Stacking half scoop of advanced and 1 scoop of grind gave me the proper efficacy doze, with perfect amount of stim (caffeine) for me. However, the problem continued. I have gone to a GP, an MRI, blood pressure test and blood test all came back perfect. GP had no idea what is going on. I have now dropped both of the pre-workouts and have been on strong coffee only as a pre-workout. I don't have any migraines! Problem seems to have been resolved. I can only assume the ingredients were causing an issue for me. It can't be coffee or creatine as I am still consuming both.
Questions:
Has anyone experienced anything similar and how did you resolve it?
I assume it is not BETA ALANINE but the pump matrix that may be causing the issue; L-Citrulline Malate and/or VASO6 and Potassium Nitrate
Can you please suggest another pre-workout that doesn't have the pump matrix and ideally caffeine under 200mg or stim free?
