Lexmark's cloud-based services cover remote device management, print job management, document accounting and scan management. CPM is for customers who manage their own printer fleets, while CFM is for service providers.
CPM eliminates the need for print servers, and allows secure print and release functionality to be implemented in minutes.
The latest version allows the use of non-Lexmark printers and MFPs via an external adaptor, and supports guest printing using unique PINs to release the job instead of requiring the use of a badge reader.
CFM allows Lexmark partners to easily configure printers, capture metrics and keep devices current and working, all from a remote operations centre.
Changes in the new version include expanded supply level monitoring (eg, photoconductor, waste toner bottle), home screen customisation, copy/scan/fax counters listed alongside the print counter, and dashboard cards and notification updates.
The new features are available immediately.
"The adoption of cloud-based technologies and solutions continues to rise, with many CIOs directing a 'cloud-first' approach," said Lexmark ANZ regional director Stephen Bell.
"The pandemic accelerated this trend, as cloud-based solutions offer an effective, secure, flexible and cost-efficient way of connecting the remote and hybrid workforce in post-pandemic business environments."
He added "We look forward to delivering additional cloud capabilities later in the year."
