NEW DELHI: Rapper couple Cardi B and Offset are set to welcome their second child together. The 28-year-old singer shared the news while performing with her husband and his group Migos on Sunday evening at the BET Awards.

According to People magazine, after the trio finished performing “Straightenin”, Cardi joined the group for “Type S–“. She appeared on the stage in a rhinestone-embellished black bodysuit, with a sheer panel showing off her baby bump. Cardi made the news Instagram official simultaneously with their act.

“#2!” she captioned her photo with a heart emoji, tagging Offset. The couple is already parents to daughter Kulture Kiari, who turns three in July. Offset, 29, also has daughter Kalea, six, and sons Kody, six, and Jordan, 11, from previous relationships.

Cardi B and Offset, who tied the knot in 2017, have had their fair share of ups and downs. They were even headed for a divorce late last year but eventually reconciled by November.

At the awards, Cardi won video of the year and best collaboration for the smash hit “WAP”, featuring Megan Thee Stallion.

NEW DELHI: Actor Shah Rukh Khan is back on the sets of the film Pathan, co-starring Deepika Padukone and John Abraham, after a hiatus due to the lockdown. The film began shooting last year but due to several restrictions the shooting came to a halt in March end. The actor has an array of films in the pipeline including an upcoming project by Rajkumar Hirani which apparently stars Taapsee Pannu but it hasn’t been confirmed yet.

According to a tabloid, the Rajkumar Hirani project will roll from September 2021 onwards and go on till January 2022. It seems like Taapsee Pannu has secured the female lead role. The entertaining comedy, set up against the backdrop of immigration, is written by Rajkumar Hirani and Kanika Dhillon. Shahrukh Khan also has Atlee’s next and well

MUMBAI: Late actor Irrfan Khan’s elder son Babil has dropped out of college as he wants to give his full attention to his acting career.

Taking to Instagram, Babil penned an emotional post announcing his decision of quitting University of Westminster, England. “I will miss you so much. My beautiful friends. I have a very tight circle here in Mumbai, literally 2-3 friends in total. You all gave me a home in a strange cold place and made me feel like I belonged. Thank you, I love you. Film BA, dropping out today, with over 120 credits cause I’m giving it all to acting as of now. Goodbye university of Westminster. I love you my truest friends,” he wrote. Along with it, he posted a few pictures of him, appearing to be taken when he was enrolled in a three year course in BA in Film. Social media users sent their wishes to Babil for his future in world of cinema. “Good luck friend,” a user commented. “Congratulations. Best of luck for your new chapter,” another wrote. 

MUMBAI: Overwhelmed by the pouring love and praises for her brief performance in the Vasan Bala short story, ‘Spotlight’, part of the anthology series ‘Ray’, actor Radhika Madan on Sunday expressed gratitude towards the audience as well as the team.

Madan, who is currently striding high on the rave reviews for her remarkable performance, took to her Instagram handle and shared a few on and off-screen pictures from ‘Spotlight’ In the caption, she wrote, “Thankyou so much everyone for such an overwhelming response and the love you have given to DIDI! @vasanbala – ye ungli uthaate hai sab chitt ho jaate hai… Thankyou for trusting me and taking me on this mad mad ride! I love you.”

‘Ray’, which is a tribute to the legendary filmmaker Satyajit Raya has been helmed by Abhishek Chaubey, Srijit Mukherji and Vasan Bala. It also features Gajraj Rao, Shweta Basu Prasad, Anindita Bose, Bidita Bag, Dibyendu Bhattacharya, Radhika Madan, Chandan Roy Sanyal and Akansha Ranjan Kapoor.

MUMBAI: Actor Alia Bhatt has completed shooting for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gangubai Kathiawadi. Taking to her Instagram handle, Alia shared a string of photographs from the sets and announced the warp-up by penning an endearing note in the caption. “We started shooting Gangubai on the 8th of December 2019… and we wrapped the film now 2 years later! This film and set have been through two lockdowns, two cyclones, director and actor getting Covid during the making,” Alia wrote.

She added, “Being directed by sir has been a dream all my life, but I don’t think anything would have prepared me for the journey I was on for these two years… I walk out of this set a diff person today! I love you sir!”

Cinephiles have been excited about the film ever since the captivating teaser of ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ was released in February. Starring Alia in the lead role, Bhansali’s directorial Gangubai Kathiawadi is on the list of one of the most awaited films made this year.

The thrilling teaser of the film features Alia portraying an eponymous character in the flick. The teaser is set in a theme where the 27-year-old named Gangubai Kothewali, a brothel owner and matriarch from Kathiawad had no choice but to embrace the ways of destiny and swing it in her favour. She is transformed from a brothel queen to a politician.

‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ will release theatrically once the current pandemic situation in the country eases.

MUMBAI: Actor Abhay Deol is all set to come up with new project, titled ‘Spin’. Taking to Instagram, Abhay unveiled the details of the upcoming project. He shared that ‘Spin’ will first be available to only US audience, and it will stream on Disney channel from August 13. He wrote: “I am aware that most of my audience love me for making edgy, alternative narratives, that challenge the status quo. Which is why this film is all the more special as it is a departure from my own status quo, and catering to a much younger audience.”

“Spin is a Disney film that will go live on their platform for US audiences on August 13. It is a gem of a movie, that will leave you smiling and feeling good. Blessed to be a part of it,” Abhay added. Spin is directed by Manjari Makijany.
