Italian beauty secrets for sensitive skin

From a young age, our grandmothers and mothers especially have encouraged us to take care of our skin. Though, it is not always easy to have smooth and flawless skin for a person with sensitive skin without constant care which can be really exhausting.
But these Italian beauty secrets are going to make you love and care for your skin naturally. Italy is known for many things from their traditional pizza to their luxury fashion style but Italian women greatly value supple, delicate, and naturally nourished skin. We must have often asked ourselves why do Italians have such nice skin? Well, follow these tips and find it out yourself.

1. Olive oil
  • -Olive oil is the powerhouse for having nourished and moisturized skin every day. It does not only make you healthy from the inside but the outside too. In Italy, olive oil is called the ‘gold of the gods.’
  • -It has a very strong anti-aging complex and squalene. Squalene is a lipid produced by our own cells but it reduces as we age, so this natural squalene from olive oil will help in boosting hydration and detoxifying.
  • -You can add a couple of drops of organic olive oil into scrubs, moisturizers and even put some olive oil in drop containers for instant use.
  • -Take a couple of drops and massage the oil gently yet firmly all over your face and just let it get soaked in and give you the Italian glow.

  • 2. Strawberry scrub

  • -Strawberry has outstanding anti-inflammatory properties and is packed with vitamin C even more than oranges.
  • -Just smash 4-6 strawberries and add 4 tablespoons of sugar and 4 tablespoons of olive oil and mix them all gently together.
  • -Massage the scrub on your desired areas for exfoliation, hydration, and brightening.

  • 3. Strawberry anti-inflammatory mask

  • -Smash 4 strawberries and mix 1 teaspoon of olive oil and 1 teaspoon of honey together. Honey has anti-bacterial properties so it will help with treating acne and dry skin.
  • -Apply the mixture using a brush all over your face and let the mask sit for 10-15 minutes. Wipe it off using a washcloth and some lukewarm water.

  • 4. Lemon juice

  • -Lemon is very effective in brightening dark spots but it is also very intense and can irritate your skin if not used properly.
  • -Squish out some lemon juice and use a cotton swab, soaked in that juice for application on the affected areas.
  • -Lemon is rich in Vitamin C and is a natural skin bleacher.
  • -You can also just cut the lemon in half and rub it over your dark spots and blackheads.

  • 5. Yogurt Hydrating mask

  • -Mix 2 tablespoons of unflavoured Greek yogurt with 2 teaspoons of honey.
  • -Yogurt has lactic acid which is the natural alpha-hydroxyl acid that removes the dead skin cells.
  • -Apply the mask gently on your face and leave it on for 30 minutes. Wipe it off with some lukewarm water and you’ll get your refreshing, hydrated, and moisturized skin.
