Two corridors of Patna Metro are proposed. Work has started in both but without the transfer of government land.
For Patna Metro, 384.80 square meters of land is required in the Raj Bhavan complex. Government land is needed at 32 places in the city including Danapur Sainik Cantonment and All India Radio.
Separate land has also been sought for temporary use for construction work in about 19 places in the urban area. Wherever the land has been sought, there are offices of the Army, State Government, and Central Government.
The places where Metro has demanded land include Raj Bhavan, Danapur Cantonment, Rajvanshi Nagar near Hanuman Mandir, Akashvani, Employees Provident Fund Office, LIC Bhawan, Electricity Board Complex, Gardiner Road Hospital, PMCH, Science College, Anjuman Islamia, Government The Madrasa Islamia Samshul Hoda Complex and the Indian Nritya Kala Mandir Complex are prominent.

Some of the land in the alignment of the Metro belongs to the Khas Mahal, which is under the Land and Revenue Department. Some of the lands in the office premises of the Corporation Board and the Central Government.
The Patna Metro is a joint venture of the Central and State Governments, so there is less scope for impeding government land transfer at both levels.
In the hope of getting the land, Metro has started piling work on Bailey Road between Saguna Mor to Gola Road in Corridor-1 and between Malahi Pakhi Kankarbagh to Interstate Patilputra Bus Terminal from 90 feet road.
