CHANDIGARH:
Haryana on Tuesday reported 78 new
Covid-19 cases and 16 deaths.
The number of testing crossed one crore mark and vaccinations during the day reached 1.35 lakh .
The recoveries continued to exceed new cases. On Tuesday 160 persons were recovered.
It may be recalled that the first case of Covid-19 was reported on March 17, 2020. At that time Haryana did not have any dedicated labs. But as of now, the number of testing labs has multiplied resulting in a total capacity of testing up to 95,000, said health officials while reasoning for achieving one crore target.
On Tuesday, 31,745 persons were tested across the state which took the overall testing to 10,00,6061 with a testing rate of 394716 tests per million.
On Covid front, now the state tally has gone to 76,85,52 cases, 75,76,40 recoveries, 9,417 deaths and 1,495 active cases. Active cases include 656 persons in home isolation. While the rest are hospitalized.
Now, the recovery rate has touched 98.8% while cumulative death rate has touched alarming 1.23%.
Barring Kurukshetra and
Palwal which have reported 10 new cases each, the other 20 districts have reported less than 10 cases. This includes three districts namely,
Jind,
Jhajjar and Mhendergarh which reported nil cases during the day.
On the Fatalities side, 11 out of 22 districts did not report any death during the day.Maximum three deaths were reported from Jind followed by two deaths each from Gurugram, Panipat and Nuh districts. Rest one death each was reported from Hisar, Karnal, Rohtak, Yamunanangar, Sirsa, Bhiwani and Jhajjar districts.
