Ranchi, Jun 28 (UNI) Leader of legislature wing of BJP Babulal Marandi has termed the formation of Tribal Advisory Council as unconstitutional and incomplete and said that members of his party will not be participating in its meetings.
Addressing a press conference at the BJP headquarters here he said that the state government has violated the 5th schedule while forming the TAC as all the rules have been set aside. He said that the chairman of the committee should be from the tribal community and not the Chief Minister as ex-officio chairman.
He said that moreover, the state government did not include sufficient women members nor those from primitive tribes group found a place in the committee. Babulal claimed the rights of the Governor has been set aside for forming this committee over which party had raised its objections but the state government has adopted a stubborn role.
Marandi said that due to various flaws the party has decided that it will not participate in the meetings of the TAC unless all the objectionable points are addressed by the government.
