Haldwani, Jun 28 (UNI) A 3.7 magnitude quake hit Pithoragarh in Uttarakhand on Monday, District Disaster Management Officer, Bageshwar, Shikha Suyal said.
The temblor occurred at 1218 hours about 55 kms north of Pithoragarh at a depth of 10 kms.
"Earthquake of Magnitude: 3.7, Occurred on 28-06-2021, 12:18:05 IST, Lat: 30.084 & Long: 80.26, Depth: 10 Km, Location: 55km N of Pithoragarh, Uttarakhand, India," National Center for Seismology tweeted.
The tremors were also felt in some areas adjoining Bageshwar district.
According to the information received from various tehsils of the district, mild shocks of quake were felt in Kapkot and Kanda, Ms Suyal said.
