Jamshedpur, Jun 28 (UNI) A total of four men lost their lives in two separate incidents which took place under Ghatshila subdivison of the East Singhbhum district.
Police on Monday said that two men died due to electrocution under Behragora Police Station area while two others lost their lives as a truck hit a tanker from behind under Ghatshila Police Station area.
In the Jadapala village of Behragora Kandan Soren (45) and Ramjeet Hansda (23) from Dabra village lost their lives as they came in contact with a high tension wire which had fallen on the field. Upon receiving information local MLA Sameer Mohanty reached on the spot and asked the authorities to provide compensation to the kin.
In a separate incident on NH-18 at Kapagoda village of Ghatshila a truck hit a tanker from behind in which the truck driver Bhikari Das (27) died while cleaner of the tanker who was changing a punctured tyre also lost his life. His identity is yet to be ascertained by the police.
However, all four bodies have been sent for post-mortem to MGM Hospital Jamshedpur.
