Former chief minister Digvijaya Singh handing over his complaint to superintendent of police (SP) Cyber Cell

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Former Madhya Pradesh chief minister and senior Congress leader Digvijaya Singh on Monday said BJP leaders should produce proofs if he is a Talibani or in contact with terrorists failing which he will file a defamation suit.

Singh was talking to journalists after filing a complaint at state cyber cell in Bhopal, alleging that his statements in Club House Chat were tampered with and circulated on social media.

Notably, a purported audio of Singh went viral on social media with BJP accusing him of speaking Pakistan’s language. “The decision of revoking Article 370 and reducing statehood of Jammu and Kashmir is an extremely sad decision and the Congress party would certainly have a re-look on the decision,” Singh is allegedly heard saying in the audio. He reportedly replied to a question asked by a journalist of Pakistan origin during the club house chat.

“They term me a traitor and accuse me of being involved in anti-India activities. They have governments in Centre and state. They must get FIR registered against me and produce evidences, otherwise I will send a defamation notice,” Singh said after coming out of State Cyber Cell herev on Monday.

In his complaint to cyber police, Singh claimed that a Twitter handle @LeaksClubHouse distorted the audio of clubhouse chat and circulated it on social media. “The user of Twitter handle had posted a message at 3 am on June 12 that an edited post was going to be uploaded. And the next day, my audio was posted,” Singh claimed in his complaint letter. He also accused BJP workers and leaders of being behind the conspiracy.
