Foodie offers her brutal review on the new cinnamon doughnut flavoured bread - so would YOU try the crunchy loaf?

  • Shoppers can now buy Golden Cinnamon Doughnut Flavoured bread loaves
  • Australian brand Tip Top launched the new $5 product in Woolworths stores
  • The food offering combines a doughnut with toast and has bursts of cinnamon

A foodie has offered her brutally honest review of the new Golden Cinnamon Doughnut flavoured bread giving it a score of just five out of ten.

The woman behind the popular Food Finds review page on Instagram said she was excited for the bread which should have been 'the best thing ever' but wouldn't buy it again.

'This is the best idea, I don’t know why no one has done this sooner but I hope this catches on. There use to be a apple cinnamon swirled bread loaf in Australia years ago which was amazing, so I had such high hopes for this,' she began.

'Where is the cinnamon?' she complained.

'I’m so annoyed I don’t why Australia is so scared to give us cinnamon, we can handle it. This could have been fire. I mean don’t get me wrong it’s okay but bread is a little doughy and our loaf was burnt,' she said.

'Obviously with our addition of ice cream, strawberries and cookie butter it tasted good but as a stand alone product it misses the mark and we wouldn’t buy again.'

And hundreds of would-be customers saw the review and thanked her for the warning.

'If it isn't borderline cinnamon challenge I don't want it,' one woman said.

'Thank you for reviewing this, I suspected as much but now I can stop scanning the aisles for it,' another wrote on the post.

Others agreed with her review after trying the product themselves.

'It's basically cinnamon scented white bread,' one man said, adding sad faces to his comment.

'Agreed, biggest let down ever. Pretty much taste like boring as plain white bread,' confirmed another.

But some said they loved the bread and were unsure if she got a 'bad loaf' or they got a 'good one'.

'Oh I loved this. I have a sh*tload of cinnamon in my yoghurt and found this so cinnamony unlike so many others. Maybe I just got a good loaf,' one woman raved.

A doughnut lover said she is usually left unimpressed by doughnut flavoured foods, but would 'stock up' on the bread after becoming obsessed.

'It is so good, by my kitchen smells like cinnamon when I am toasting it,' she added.
