An Avondale man is behind bars after being charged with murdering a 6-month-old baby.

Leandre Glenn, 21, purposely caused the death of the child on June 15, according to a criminal complaint filed by a Cincinnati police detective in Hamilton County Municipal Court.

The complaint says Glenn was arrested Saturday based on a police investigation and witness statements.

Glenn was in court for an arraignment hearing Monday morning. A judge set a $1 million bond.

Glenn’s lawyer, who argued for a lower bond, said that Glenn was aware the child was dead but stayed in the Cincinnati area.

No further details of what happened to the child were revealed in court.
