Queensland's worst Covid fears are realised as cops patrolling State of Origin are revealed to be close contacts of an infected man - and THOUSANDS could be at risk
A group of Queensland Police who were patrolling Sunday night's State of Origin have been identified as close contacts of a Covid-infected man.
The cops were among 63 offices plunged into isolation on Sunday after being linked to an infected worker at a Brisbane City Watchhouse.
Game two of the series went ahead at Suncorp stadium in front of a sold out crowd of 52,000 spectators, despite Covid concerns.
The Sunshine state is currently dealing with two separate clusters with three new infections reported on Monday.

Just hours before last night's clash, a bizarre health order issued to footy fans, telling them that masks were mandatory when entering and leaving the ground, but not compulsory while seated.
Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk Tweeted the strange rules before kickoff.
'Masks must be worn on arrival to Suncorp Stadium and especially on exit,' she wrote.
'The only time you don't need a mask is when you are seated.
'Masks will be available on arrival.
'Please check in using the Check In Qld app.
'And if you are sick - stay home.'
