Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav on Sunday launched the party’s first theme song ‘sukh-dukh mein sath nibhayenge’ as a part of their campaign for 2022 Uttar Pradesh assembly polls. The song means that the party have been with the public through joy and sorrow and will continue to do so.
Yadav shared the video song with the tagline in Hindi Sukh dukh main saath nibhaaya hai, sukh dukh main saath nibhaayenge.
In the video song, the Samajwadi Party claimed that the party will stand with the people in good and bad times.
A major part of the video publicizes various schemes launched by Akhilesh Yadav in UP while at least 30 seconds of the video highlights the difficulties faced by the people during lockdown and mismanagement by the state government during the Covid second wave.
The video also highlights the devastating effect of the Covid second wave in the state between April and May – visuals of queues outside oxygen refilling centers, and TV headlines about the floating bodies of suspected Covid patients in the Ganga or buried in shallow graves by the river.
Besides targeting the Yogi government, the song also highlights the SP Chief Akhilesh Yadav as people’s hero. The new song by Samajwadi Party also shows footage of cycle rallies by party members from various parts of the state.
It will now be interesting to see if BJP gives a reply to Samajwadi Party through a theme song or not.
