Maharashtra: No vaccination in Kalyan-Dombivli on Tuesday

KALYAN: All vaccination centres in Kalyan-Dombivli will remain closed on Tuesday due to the unavailability of Covid vaccines.
This will be the fourth instance this month when the vaccination centres will remain closed in the twin city of Kalyan-Dombivil. It is one of the worst affected cities in Maharashtra with 1,36,146 cases of Covid-19 till date.
The Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation so far has conducted 3,12,965 vaccinations which is less when compared to cities like Thane (4,48,367) and Navi Mumbai (3,95,669).
A senior KDMC official who did not wish to be named said that the district authority who distributes vaccines after getting it from the state was giving fewer vials to Kalyan-Dombivli but after our continuous follow up supply increased but since they are also not getting sufficient vaccines from the state we are unable to operate some days.
