President Ram Nath Kovind says yoga, pranayam can help us to face pandemic better

President Ram Nath Kovind on Sunday asked citizens to perform yoga and pranayama on daily basis to fight global Covid-19 the pandemic better.

President Kovind on Sunday tweeted in Hindi that people should make Pranayam and Yoga an essential part of their daily lifestyle, asked people should spread yoga and prayanam in the society, which will help society to bring healthy society and nation.

President Kovind urged the nation for yoga and pranayama at the time when India has witnessed 50,040 new Covid-19 cases in the last 241 hours. According to the Union Health Ministry data on Sunday Kerala has witnessed 12,118 fresh Covid cases in the last 24 hours, while Maharashtra has witnessed 9,812.

The Covid active Covid-19 cases have dropped by 5,95,565 or 2.03% of the total cases. As many as 2,91,93,085 Covid-19 patients have been recovered from the infection in the last 24 hours.

Meanwhile, Delhi on Sunday has reported  89 fresh Covid cases with 4 Covid related death in the last 24 hours, Seeing a drop in Covid cases, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal allowed Gyms, marriage halls, yoga centers to reopen from Monday.

Delhi CM urged Delhi residents to follow all the Covid protocols like social distancing, wearing masks while stepping out.

Bars were allowed to operate in the city from noon till 10 pm and the timings of restaurants were extended by two hours from June 20. Salons were allowed to reopen in the national capital from June 14.
