Imphal, Jun 27 (UNI) Manipur recorded 669 COVID-19 cases and 16 deaths from the virus in the past 24 hours, a state health bulletin said on Sunday.
The fresh cases include six personnel from Central Armed Police Force (CAPF). District-wise, Imphal East recorded 93 cases, Imphal West 226, Thoubal 69, Bishnupur 75, Kakching 81, Ukhrul three, Churachandpur 71, Chandel seven, Tamenglong 12, Tengnoupal four, Kamjong four, Pherzawl one and Kangpokpi 17.
The total number of cases in the state have reached 67,986 while deaths 1,124.
As many as 509 patients recovered in the last day, taking the total number of recovered to 61,038 and recovery rate to 89.78 pc. The number of active cases are now 5,824, the bulletin said.
