PPCC chief Sunil Jakhar today said it was wrong on part of party MLA Fatehjang Singh Bajwa to compare the government job offered to his son with the kin of other party leaders elected in the Panchayati Raj institutions.

By pretending to quit the job on moral grounds and throwing mud on others, the Bajwa family is trying to hoodwink public and cover up their monumental blunder. - Sunil Jakhar, PPCC Chief
Jakhar was referring to minister Tript Bajwa’s son being elected as Gurdaspur zila parishad chairman
and minister Sukhbinder Sarkaria’s nephew as Amritsar zila parishad chairman.
“By pretending to quit the job on moral grounds and throwing mud on others, the Bajwa family was trying to hoodwink public and cover up their monumental blunder,” he said, adding the politically and economically well-placed Bajwa family should instead apologise for hurting the sentiments of state youth.
He further rubbished MLA’s contention of appointment of his nephew Ajay Vir Jakhar as the Punjab State Farmers’ & Farm Workers’ Commission chairman. “I was not an MLA or the PPCC president when my nephew was appointed,” he said.
“The Bajwa family, by accepting a government job for kin, has not only hurt the feelings of thousands of jobless youth but also damaged the reputation of the CM and the Congress, besides tarnishing their deceased father’s name,” Jakhar said.
