BHOPAL: Madhya Pradesh continued to maintain its lead over the other states in the country in vaccination on Saturday, taking its tally to over 46 lakh. The state recorded 964,756 vaccinations followed by Maharashtra (720,160) and Uttar Pradesh (510,063). Gujarat recorded 372,308 vaccinations on Saturday.
Earlier, 17.42 lakh vaccinations were recorded on June 21; 11.59 lakh were recorded on June 23; 7.33 lakh vaccination were recorded on June 24. It is a pan-India mega mega-vaccination campaign launched on June 21 in the country and Madhya Pradesh led with administering 17.42 lakh vaccination doses.
Today, Raisen, Rewa and Indore led among the districts with 110 per cent vaccination each, registering total doses of 20,158; 16,481 and 148,178, respectively.
Bhopal recorded 106 per cent registering doses of 45,340. Other major cities, such as Gwalior and Jabalpur, recorded 90 per cent and 104 per cent vaccinations, respectively, with 25,932 and 36,390 doses administered, respectively. Even Sehore reported 104 per cent, with 38,232 doses administered. Satna recorded 109 per cent vaccinations with 10,862 doses administered.
Around 22 districts recorded below 100 per cent vaccination in the state. The lowest vaccination was recorded at Panna, which recorded 63 per cent with 12,042 vaccination doses being administered. Similarly, Sheopur recorded 67 per cent with 5,466 doses and Dindori 75 per cent with 7,612 doses.
