Darren Coleman has been offered the NSW Waratahs head coaching role.
Sources with knowledge of negotiations have told the Herald that Coleman has won the race for the NSW job following the sacking of Rob Penney in March.

Coleman, a former Waratahs skills coach, won premierships with Warringah and Gordon in the Shute Shield before taking up a role with the LA Giltinis in Major League Rugby.
Coleman has interviewed for the role in recent weeks, alongside John Mulvihill, John Manenti and John McKee.
While there has been no official agreement between both parties, sources have told the Herald Coleman is set to take the role.
Coleman has the blessing of LA Giltinis officials as is expected to meet with Waratahs officials in coming days to discuss his contract.
NSW Rugby boss Paul Doorn declined to comment when contacted by the Herald but did say a decision was “looking to be finalised by end of next week”.
