One killed in Friday afternoon shooting at St. Petersburg motel

ST PETERSBURG — A man was killed Friday afternoon in a shooting at the Landmark Motel at 1930 4th Street N, according to the St. Petersburg Police Department.

Officers first responded to the motel shortly after 5 p.m., police said. Upon arrival, they found an adult male dead in one of the motel rooms.

20th Avenue N will be closed from 4th Street Nort to 5th Street N while officers investigate.

No other details about the shooting, including the victim’s name, were immediately released by St. Petersburg police.
