New Delhi, June 25

The Enforcement Directorate today said it has registered a criminal case under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) in connection with alleged conversion of some hearing impaired students and poor to Islam in Uttar Pradesh with purported funding from Pakistani intelligence agency ISI after taking cognisance of the FIR filed by the state police anti-terrorist squad.

A probe has been initiated to find out the funding pattern and money trail in the case. — TNS
