Manchester City preparing for bid to sign Jack Grealish from Aston Villa

Manchester City is reportedly preparing a £100 million bid for Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish. The Premier League champions might the Premier League’s record deal.
Manchester City could complete a record-breaking, £100 million deal for Jack Grealish after the England star finishes his campaign at Euro 2020. Reported talks between the two clubs have progressed swiftly and City has now agreed on a huge deal. Manchester City is still reported to be interested in signing Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane, who reportedly wants to leave the North London-based club and will decide upon his future after the European Championships. Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Haaland is also seen as one of the potential targets to replace Sergio Aguero as Manchester City’s main striker.
Grealish is a childhood Villa fan and is an academy product, but this will not hold the attacking midfielder back from a potential move to Manchester City. The 25-year old has 4 years left on his current contract with Villa. The Midlands club recently signed Emiliano Buendia from Norwich City also saw a £25 million bid for Emile Smith Rowe rejected by Arsenal.
Grealish has attracted huge interest from clubs around Europe and in the Premier League but only a few clubs can realistically afford Villa’s asking price for their talisman. Manchester United was also keen on signing the Englishman.
Grealish made 26 appearances in the 2020/21 Premier League season and scored 6 goals and recorded 12 assists for Aston Villa.
