Ampere announces price cut for electric scooters with FAME II subsidy

Ampere Vehicles, the e-mobility wing of Greaves Cotton Limited, announced a price cut on electric scooters up to Rs 9000. It is based on the recent FAME II subsidy revision policy by the Government. The price reduction is expected to make Ampere electric scooters more affordable to consumers across India.

Roy Kurian, COO, E-Mobility Business (2 & 3-Wheeler), Ampere Electric, said that, with significant subsidy revision in FAME II policy, the scheme has made EV affordable to more customers. He added that it will strengthen Ampere’s customer base. While Zeal model will now cost (Ex-showroom, Bangalore) Rs 59,990 (down from Rs 68,900 earlier), Magnus Pro model can now be brought at Rs 65,990 (down from Rs 74,990 earlier).
