The Tamil Nadu government on Friday evening announced that the lockdown would be extended to July 5, but with more relaxations.

Further lockdown relaxations have been given to districts like Chennai, Chengalpet, Thriuvallur and Kanchipuram.
1.Bus services are allowed to operate in 23 districts along with the already permitted 4 districts across Tamil Nadu.
2. Textile and jewellery shops, malls are permitted to stay open in Chennai and its neighbouring districts, but not theatres.
3. Places of worship will be open in these four districts.
4. Gyms and yoga centres with air-conditioners will be allowed to operate in 27 districts.
