KOKRAJHAR, June 24: A dead body hanging from a tree was recovered from Kokrajhar Tea estate Garden No.7 line under Kokrajhar police station on Thursday. According to locals, the person reportedly committed suicide by hanging himself after having a feud with his wife. The nearby locals noticed the body hanging from a tree in the morning and immediately informed the police who rushed to the spot. The body was identified as Karuna Roy (37) of Kokrajhar tea estate Garden No.7 line. Notably, late Roy was a former leader of AKRSU Kokrajhar district.

The police have started the investigation and have also detained his wife and sent the body for post mortem.
