Paul Stirling returns to boost the Belfast-based Northern Knights in the second InterPro T20 festival in Bready, Co Tyrone starting today after featuring for Middlesex in their first five Blast matches.
Leinster Lightning have added Jack Tector to their 13-man squad, while table-topping North West Warriors will be looking to increase their one-point lead on home soil after an impressive start to the tournament in Dublin last week.
Meanwhile, Ireland women will take on the Netherlands at Malahide in four T20 internationals at the end of next month as Ed Joyce’s team step up their preparations for the European section of qualification for the World Cup.
However, the seemingly ill-fated Euro Slam has been postponed once again, this time because of both scheduling and Covid issues. The new T20 franchise tournament, featuring two teams from Ireland, was first announced in 2019.
