Maharashtra: ED raids former Home Minister Anil Deshmukh's residence

NAGPUR: Enforcement Directorate (ED) conducted a raid on ex-Home Minister Anil Deshmukh's residence at GPO chowk on Friday.
ED had registered offence against Deshmukh shortly after CBI's FIR on him in relation to the allegations of Rs 100 crore demand by the minister.
ED had so far conducted a series of raids and searches in the city on Deshmukh and his son's associates including chartered accountants.
Similar actions had been also initiated against Deshmukh's aides in Mumbai too. ED had also questioned many in connection to the case so far. Mumbai ED unit had conducted searches in Nagpur too.
The raids had been conducted in relation to the alleged money laundering scams by the erstwhile minister and his coterie.
