Gujarat in 24 hours ending 5pm on Thursday added 123 new Covid positive cases, taking the total to 8.22 lakh. The state also recorded deaths of 3 positive patients, taking the death toll to 10,045.

The Gujarat health department confirmed two cases of Covid-19's Delta-plus variant in the state. One of the patients is a 27-year-old man from Surat who had tested positive in April, and the other is a 38-year-old woman from Vadodara who had also tested positive in April.

Uttarakhand: Dehradun DM Dr Ashish Srivastava issued instructions to all the passengers coming from every flight at Dehradun airport, especially those coming from Maharashtra, Kerala & Madhya Pradesh. At least 35 people were rescued by the fire brigade owing to safety reasons when a ceiling part of Afsra building at SB Road in Fort collapsed. Officials said that repair work was in progress by MHADA when some part of the third floor ceiling collapsed owing to which the staircase was blocked. No injuries have been reported in the incident.
