Mhow (Indore district, Madhya Pradesh): The vaccination drive is picking up pace in rural areas and villages as administration has launched awareness campaigns for inoculation.
In Mhow tehsil, more than 2 lakh people have taken first dose of vaccine. Health department is vaccinating people through mobile vans who live in remote areas.
The administrative teams of Mhow SDM Abhilash Mishra and Manpur Nayab Tehsildar Vivek Soni have been visiting villages to conduct survey about status of vaccination.
Mobile van doctor Reetu Chauhan said, “There are many people in Simrol villages who still fear jabs. Whenever they see the team of health department, villagers hide. Some of them climb on trees to hide themselves.”
