Fresh cases on Wednesday pushed the UTs total cases tally to 1.15 lakh. The cumulative death toll has reached 1,734 after 3 people died of the disease in the last 24-hours.
The active cases tally has further dipped to 3077. The Puducherry headquarters received the highest 222 new Covid-19 cases, followed by Karaikal (42), Yanam (9) and Mahe (25).
Director of the Health and Family Welfare department, S Mohan Kumar said that 37,057 vaccine doses have been given to health workers and 22,842 frontline workers.
7,434 people were inoculated yesterday, while 3.3 lakh people in all age groups have been vaccinated to date. Puducherry has administered 4,48 lakh including the second doses.

The official said that 276 patients have also recovered from the infection in the last 24 hours, bringing the total recoveries to 1.11 lakhs. The Health Department tested 8,891 samples in the last 24-hours. UT recorded a test positivity rate (TPR) of 3.35%.
The recovery rate in the UT reached 95.85%, while the death rate was recorded at 1.50%.
