AP reports 4,981 new Covid cases, 38 deaths

Vijayawada, Jun 24 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh has reported 4,981 fresh Coronavirus cases while 38 patients died during the last 24 hours.
A health bulletin here on Thursday said that 88,622 swab samples were diagnosed in a period of 24 hours, ending at 9 am today, of which 4,981 persons were tested positive for COVID-19 and 38 more patients died taking the total number of deaths to 12,490 in the state.
As many as 6,464 patients have recovered since the last 24 hours.
The cumulative tally of positive cases has spiked to 18,67,017 while 18,04,844 patients have been discharged as they had recovered.
At present there are 49,683 active cases in the state. So far 2,14,49,633 swab sample tests have been conducted in the state.
