Courtney Cox’s feelings got “hurt” for not winning an Emmy like everybody else

On The Howard Stern show, Courtney Cox spoke about missing Emmy nominations for Friends and her supportive approach towards her co-stars when it comes to winning awards.

Recently, the girl gang of Friends appeared on The Howard Stern show. Courtney Cox, Lisa Kudrow and Jennifer Aniston came together yet again after the release of Friends: The Reunion on the chat show and had an interesting conversation with Stern where they talked about their journey on the show, “Friends” and their friendship off-screen. In the interview, Courtney also discussed how she felt about missing the Emmy nomination for their popular show, Friends.

Cox went ahead to share and she admitted that she felt dejected for being the only lead cast member to not receive an Emmy nomination. She said, “Sure. Yeah, it always hurt my feelings. When every single cast member was nominated but me, it hurt my feelings. I was happy for everybody, and then when it was finally like, ‘Oh, I’m the only one?’ It hurt,” via Just Jared.

Cox also recalled how she felt after her show Cougar Town’s first season bought her a Golden Globe nomination. Cox admitted it made her “feel good” and stated, “And then the only thing that made me feel good — because they’ve all won and they’ve gotten so many accolades — I got nominated for Cougar Town the first year — a Golden Globe. And I want to say, ‘Oh, who cares?’ It meant everything to me,” via Pinkvilla.

Even though Cox didn’t receive an Emmy nomination, she said that she has always hoped for her co-stars to win. Courteney also added that she’s too this day excited about what Aniston and Kudrow star in and is always in absolute “awe” of their prowess.
