2021 BMW 5 Series Facelift Launched In India; Prices Start At ₹ 62.90 Lakh

The BMW 5 Series facelift is offered in three versions with one petrol and two diesel engine options, and comes with a host of feature and cosmetic upgrades.

BMW India has launched the 2021 5 Series facelift in the country with prices starting at ₹ 62.90 lakh for the 530i M Sport, going up to ₹ 71.90 lakh for the 530d M Sport. All prices are ex-showroom India. The 2021 BMW 5 Series gets a mid-cycle update and brings a revised exterior design, revamped interior, new features and more. The new 5 Series facelift will compete against the Audi A6, Mercedes-Benz E-Class facelift, Jaguar XF and the Volvo S90 in the segment. The cabin layout remains the same but the infotainment unit gets the new iDrive 7 and wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay

The 2021 BMW 5 Series facelift gets new L-shaped LED DRLs and new full-LED Adaptive headlamps refreshed front and rear bumpers, smoked LED taillights and a new set of alloy wheels. The M Sport variants further get BMW LaserLight that further enhances visibility up to 650 metres. The cabin also comes with upgrades including the two 12.3-inch screens for the instrument console and the infotainment system. The latter now comes with Android Auto compatibility, as opposed to only Apple CarPlay available previously. The user interface has been updated with the new iDrive 7 that offers more personalisation options. The 530i comes with Sports seats while the 530d gets Comfort seats. Both come with Sensatec perforated trim and a number of colours to choose from.

Other features include the ambient lighting package, four-zone climate control, BMW Virtual Assistant, gesture control, Harman Kardon sound system, Head-up display, and more. Under the hood, the facelifted BMW 5 Series draws power from the 2.0-litre, four-cylinder petrol and diesel engines, as well as the 3.0-litre, six-cylinder diesel. The 8-speed automatic transmission is standard across all powertrain options. The car also comes with Adaptive suspension, six airbags, ABS with BA, DTC, and a host of safety tech.
