The vaccination campaign has been started to provide a safe environment to schools and colleges.
Colleges have also extended the vaccination to family members and those who are not directly associated with the college. Earlier on Saturday, the Telangana cabinet completely lifted the Covid restrictions. The state cabinet has decided to reopen schools and other educational institutions from July 1, so that students can return to classes again.
This special vaccination drive has been started in Arora Degree and PG College as well as Methodist College, Hyderabad with the efforts of NSS (National Service Scheme) and a private hospital. The target of both colleges is to vaccinate 150 to 200 people daily.
The Telangana government lifted the lockdown in the state from Sunday and open educational institutions from July 1.
The Cabinet has directed the Education Department to issue instructions on the rules and regulations regarding compulsory attendance of students, the continuation of online classes etc.
