Courts order on petition of Congress MLA Arif Masood in Remdesivir injections theft case

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): On a petition filed in High Court by Congress MLA, Arif Masood, related to theft of over 865 Remdesiver injections, court has given instructions to the police to prepare and present charge-sheet else concerned magistrate should intervene in the matter.

The police haven’t filed charge-sheet in the case even after two months in the case related to theft of 865 life saving Remdesivir injections from Hamidia hospital in Bhopal.

Advocate of MLA Masood, Yavar Khan on Thursday said that 865 life saving injections of Remdesivir were given to some people of high profile amidst raging pandemic with the help of people from hospital’s management. ‘The details of people given injections is in the hospital register which in the possession of the police. It mentions names of some influential politicians and bureaucrats,’ said advocate Yavar.

Advocate Khan said that chief justice Rafiq Ahmad has given instructions to the police that the charge-sheet should be produced in the court else concerned magistrate should take coginsance of it.

MLA Arif Masood alleged that crime branch is trying to save people named and involved in the high profile theft case.
