    Avenue Supermart shares up 0.43% as Sensex rises

    Shares of Avenue Supermarts Ltd. gained 0.43 per cent to Rs 3327.0 in Thursday's session as of 11:12AM (IST) even as the equity benchmark Sensex traded 288.33 points higher at 52594.41.

    Earlier in the day, the stock witnessed a gap up start to the session. The stock quoted a 52-week high price of Rs 3408.0 and a 52-week low of Rs 1900.0 on NSE. Around 8762 shares changed hands on the counter till 11:12AM (IST).

    The stock opened at Rs 3330.0 and has touched an intraday high and low of Rs 3355.0 and Rs 3320.05 during the session so far. The counter quoted a price-to-earnings (PE) ratio of 196.35, earnings per share (EPS) of Rs 16.97 and price to book value (PB) of 12.87, while the return on equity (ROE) stood at Rs 9.02.

    Promoter/ FII Holding
    The promoters held 74.99 per cent stake in the company as of June 24, while FII and MF ownerships stood at 10.17 per cent and 6.07 per cent, respectively.

For the quarter ended 31-Mar-2021, the company reported consolidated sales of Rs 7459.8 crore, down 1.68 per cent from the previous quarter?s Rs 7587.32 crore and down 18.58 per cent from the same quarter a year ago. The company reported net profit of Rs 413.88 crore for the latest quarter, up 52.56 per cent from the corresponding quarter last year.
