COVID: J&K reports 448 new +ve cases, 11 deaths

Jammu, June 24 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir Government on Thursday informed that 448 new positive cases of novel Coronavirus--183 from Jammu division and 265 from Kashmir division-- have been reported thus taking the total number of positive cases in the Union Territory to 313476.

Also, 11 deaths have been reported, 8 from Jammu Division and 3 from Kashmir Division.

Moreover, 682 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and discharged from various hospitals including 170 from Jammu Division and 512 from Kashmir Division.

One new confirmed case of mucormycosis has been reported today, bringing the cumulative no of confirmed cases to 27 in the UT of J&K.

Besides this, 80.54 percent of the population above the age of 45 years has been vaccinated across Jammu and Kashmir.

According to the daily Media Bulletin, out of 313476 positive cases, 6537 are Active Positive, 302655 have recovered and 4284 have died; 2087 in Jammu division and 2197 in Kashmir division.

The Bulletin further said that out of 9679738 test results available, 9366262 samples have been tested as negative till Thursday.

Till date 2353939 persons have been enlisted for observation which included 25971 persons in home quarantine including facilities operated by government, 6537 in isolation and 206497 in home surveillance.

Besides, 2110650 persons have completed their surveillance period.
