The All Pakistan Oil Tankers Contractors Association has announced a countrywide strike for an indefinite period, in an attempt to force the government to meet its demands. The association has asked the government to reduce income tax to 2% from 3%. The government hasn’t either accepted the demand or given the association time for a meeting. The APOTCA wants the government to bind oil companies to pay all dues owed to oil tanker owners within 15 days. The association’s strike has sparked fears of a petrol crisis across the country.
