JioPhone Next Launch Announced: RIL 44th AGM

Talking about Jio, the company's chairman said we invested a huge sum into Jio and serves over 42.5 crore customers across the country. The company is the second largest global mobile date carrier.

In the 4G spectrum, the company has invested over Rs. 50,000 crore.

Also, on the sideline the company has announced an affordable breakthrough smartphone JioPhone Next and it shall be available from September 10, 2021- the auspicious occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi. This phone has been developed in association with Google and it shall be compatible with all the Android apps.

There has been reported that Reliance Jio is also foraying into the laptop product and they are in the process of developing a product tentatively coined 'JioBook' that will run a customized Android platform dubbed as the Jio OS.

The announcement regarding pricing, timing, availability etc. shall be tracked as these are highly important given the world over constraints in respect of mobile device components, supplies etc. As per the report, the device was to be backed by Qualcomm's 11-nm Snapdragon 665 chipset with 4G connectivity.
